"Dear visitors, welcome to the new QBSW website and let me briefly introduce our company. QBSW has been acting on the ICT market since 2000, with focus on information systems development, and supply of services related to implementation, operation and maintenance of information systems (furtheron only “IS”).
'Quality Business Software' are not only the words of our company’s ambitions. They are QBSW’s differentiating element, and they stand for the attribute of our solutions and services.
In 2009, QBSW, as many other institutions and companies in Slovakia, faced the consequences of the global world financial crisis. Despite this, QBSW intensively continued in working on the running projects and building of the high quality relationships with its current and potential customers and partners.
Together with HP Slovakia, we realized the technological and functional upgrade of the State Treasury modules enabling the higher comfort for the application users, the enlargement and standardization of processes and the overall application re-engineering. Within the upgrade, the new analytic tool enabling the easier decision-making about financial management through the manual corrections of analyzed data was given into a production phase.
The outsourcing of software development cooperation with Orange Slovakia, where we continued in the successful implementation in DWH and Business Intelligence area, intranet and modules supporting some specific processes of the telecommunication operator. QBSW significantly participated on an implementation of the newest functionality that Orange has brought through the FiberTV, e.g. an advanced recording of TV program. Finally, the extent of the cooperation exceeded more than 230 successfully realized projects in the last year.
The support and implementation of non-standard requirements for the financial management information system (FMIS) for Serbian Ministry of Finance, put into production phase in 2008, also continued during last year.
In October, the company underwent a re-certification audit of Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 in analysis, design, development, delivery, upgrade, maintenance, and integration of information systems and their parts based on clients' requirements. The audit confirmed the high effectiveness of the internal processes that mostly affect the quality of the software and consulting services. Within the improvement of the quality of our services in the field of quality management according to ISO standards, the company has began to prepare for the certification of information security under ISO 27000. The certification should be completed during 2010.
In 2009 our company started to focus strongly on providing solutions in IT service based on the best practices outlined in the ITIL library (IT Infrastructure Library). The spreading of the activities related to IT service management, we consider as our strategic decision, which we expect from, that it will bring significantly higher added value of IT to our current and future customers. We have a clear vision how it is possible to effectively link the IT environment and business spheres of customers by optimizing processes and implementing software tools to support the IT services management.
