Since QBSW has been founded in 2000, it is winning recognition on both regional and international ICT markets. In 2005 and 2006 we ranked between fastest growing IT companies, and achieved one of the highest value added growths within the IT companies in Slovakia. A brief chronology of QBSW milestones presents our history.
2009
After fluent and successful Slovak State Treasury conversion to the new currency, which has been largely exerted by QBSW in collaboration with HP, they had to face another challenge in terms of technological and functional upgrade of applications that create an information system of the State Treasury. All these upgrades were successfully implemented before the end of the year 2009.
Likewise, the success in implementation of projects for Orange Slovakia continued - the number of realized projects achieved a comparable number to previous years.
The effectual support of information system troubleshooting ran over FMIS project together with smaller works to improve the Serbian State Treasury information system as required by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia.
During this year QBSW become a certified partner of Axios Systems, which belongs to the initiators of sophisticated solutions to support the IT Service Management (ITSM). In July QBSW confirmed the importance given the use of ITSM solutions and ITIL standards in practice and became a member of an international organization itSMF (IT Service Management Forum) and implement this type of solution for the company of Videoboard.
In September, there was a recertification audit of business processes conducted by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), which confirmed the consistency Quality Management System (QMS) with a review by ISO 9001:2008 in extenso.
During the year QBSW also used their personal capital for larger or smaller outsourcing projects (some of them are proceeding to this year) and also develop unique solutions, such as objednajma.sk project (in operation), whether the project vykaz.sk (development continues in 2010).
2008
In 2008 QBSW, such as other Slovak institutions, was preparing for the fluent Euro conversion. In cooperation with HP we realized a modification and expansion of Slovak Treasury Information System so that the conversion should run without complications. The endurance testing was also adapted to this situation and fell out without problems.
At the beginning of year 2008 we put modules of Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) into productive operations for Serbian Ministry of Finance. During first four months more than 1 100 000 payment transactions were run and more than 95 000 users logins were made by QBSW applications.
New currency was also connected with projects’ realization, where an extent of our cooperation exceeded more than 200 successful realized projects.
In May, the company made the national and internation registration of its trademarks - logo “QBSW” and tagline “Quality Business Software“. This registration entitles QBSW to use together with its trademarks the sign ® in Slovakia, Czech Repulic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Serbia and Ukraine.
2007
The main topic of year 2007 was finishing works and preparing to start up productive operations of the project Implementation of Financial Management Information System (FMIS) for Ministry of Finance of Serbia. Except for implementation work it also meant the realization of testing works, pilot operations in Serbia, the enduring testing and training. Thereby there was successfully made all activities needed for put the system into productive operations phase that was scheduled in January 2008.
Analogous to previous years the cooperation with HP Slovakia in support and development of Slovak state Treasury Information System and an implementation of some parts of Orange Slovakia information system also continued during the year.
The company had 90 employees at the end of 2007.
2006
In 2006 there were many started, opened and closed projects. We started cooperation with HP Slovakia on development and implementation of Integration platform for the Slovak State Treasury information system. Works on delivery of information system for financial management for Republic of Serbia (Financial Management Information System) have started in cooperation with HP Serbia as well.
Aggregate number of projects handed to Orange Slovakia exceeded 120. Between the finished projects ranks the iKVC project, for example.
In August 2006 the number of QBSW’s employees amounted to 80.
In September the company successfully passed the Quality Management System recertification audit that, according to the ISO 9001:2000 norm, proved full compliance of company processes with the norm’s requirements.
2005
The year 2005 meant the beginning of cooperation with HP Slovakia on the Backup Information system project for State Treasury Slovakia.
In June there was the change in the QBSW’s Board of Directors. Ing. Martin Čekel was replaced by Ing. Vladimír Raučina on the position of Managing Director, and by Ing. Martin Hrnko on the position of Technical Director.
According to recognized annual company raking Trend Top IT, QBSW achieved an 274% growth of value added and ranked as the seventh fastest growing Slovak IT company.
2004
In 2004 several long-term agreements were signed: e.g. the Agreement on Support of delivered applications for Orange Slovakia; Agreement on project iKVC implementation in cooperation with HP Slovakia.
In December the number of employees reached 50.
2003
QBSW has successfully certified Quality Management System in accordance with the norm ISO 9001:2000. The certification relates to the following areas: analysis, design, development, delivery, upgrade, maintenance, and integration of information systems and their parts based on clients requirements.
A general contract with Orange Slovakia was signed on application development and supply of related services for the mobile network provider.
2002
QBSW signed Contract on delivery of services and technology for the Slovak State Treasury information system, together with Hewlett-Packard Slovakia. Subject of the agreement was delivery of key modules for the public finance management in Slovakia.
In November the company finished an implementation proposal for the Slovak Citizen Register information system.
2001
QBSW successfully completed pilot project for Expenditure Management for the Ministry of Finance of Slovak Republic.
2000
The company QBSW was founded the 3th of October as a public limited company. Ing. Martin Čekal became a Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director.
