QBSW experts on software applications have cooperated with Hewlett-Packard Slovakia on modernization of KVC on long-term basis. Their role was to provide implementation services for information system developed in J2EE environment. The result is an Innovated KVC (iKVC), which is running since 2006 and is the most complex system that fulfills all train passengers’ information needs.
Innovated Railway Information System (iKVC)
iKVC is an enhanced information system for web-based sale of train tickets, with train-tracking system (including delays), that accepts various payment methods: cash, phone, internet, credit card and via quiosks. The system comprises 334 machines in more than 180 sale points in 96 train stations all-over Slovakia.
